National Board Certified and Duke Trained

National Board Certified and trained in the neuroscience of change through Duke’s Integrative Health and Wellness Coaching certification program, I am an adept partner and guide for change. I specialize in women dealing with health and wellness challenges such as weight loss, gaining strength, work/life balance, perimenopause, and menopause.

I empower my clients with resources, accountability, and the tools for lifelong growth and progress. In a nut shell, I work with you to create a plan for longevity, strength, and vitality.

My approach is one of a true partnership.  I meet my clients where they are and use the tools of habit change to take you where you want to go.  I am a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher, this evolving experience informs my coaching in terms of mindfulness and breath work. I have found that with a growth mindset, curiosity, and commitment to showing up, all things are possible.

Masters in Library Sciences

Prior to working as a health and wellness coach, I worked as a school librarian educator. I am well versed in the science of research and will identify credible resources and fact-based practices to help you achieve your goals. My masters in Library and Information Sciences and training as an educator uniquely position me to guide women as they discover what works best for them to create a healthy, fulfilling, and vibrant life.

Personal experience

Always motivated to move, I began a lifelong love affair with ashtanga yoga in my late 20s.  I left my home city, Dallas, for Austin in 2005 and found myself immersed in the food and farmers market scenes.   Although I had the movement and healthy food pieces down, in my late 30’s I experienced autoimmune issues that prompted a complete diet overhaul.  “Inflammation”.  “Food as medicine.” “Mindfulness.” “Rest.” etc. – terms I’d heard but previously held no relevance for me, became priorities.  This prompted a deep dive into health and wellness – unique for each individual – that has changed the course of my life.

When I’m not reading up on the science of habits and health, I enjoy reading memoirs, practicing yoga, and finding new hiking trails to explore with my husband and son.  I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the furriest members of our family, our dogs Wolfie and Loretta, who make our home a warm place to return to after a long day.
